May Long Weekend Kelowna Trip

Join me for a rustic weekend away as we venture to Kelowna for a cabin retreat at McCulloch Lake Resort! Just off highway 33 (despite the address, it's not accessible via Naramata), this newly constructed resort features some of the most serene and spectacular lake sunsets I've seen in the Okanagan. The cabins come complete with hot tubs, full kitchens, hotel-quality rooms!

We've rented the largest SHARED cabin on the property which sleeps 12 adults.

Cost per bed is $250-$295 which includes a 2 night stay over Saturday May 16th and Sunday May 17th checking out on the Monday. You can bring a friend to share the bed with you to split the cost. Car Pooling

If you're car pooling with friends, expect $300 in gas per vehicle round-trip from Calgary, including all Kelowna stops. Car pooling is not organized by us. If you're looking for a ride, please comment on the event.

What to Bring

Bring your own food, drinking water, hiking supplies/clothing, kayaks (if you plan to get on the water), clothes, toiletries, swimwear, and beyond.

Rules

Absolutely no illegal street drugs of any kind. Drinking in moderation. Excessively intoxticated, or beligerant, guests will be removed without refund or compensation.

Schedule

Personally, I'll be heading to Kelowna on the Friday and staying in separate accomodations so I can have a longer weekend away. My personal schedule is as follows.

Everyone is welcome to participate in whatever portions they'd like, but specific details for trails/restaurants/locations will only be released after ticket purchase out of privacy to our attendees.

Friday May 15th: 

• Drive to Golden, BC
• Lunch
• Drive to Lake Country, BC
• Spectacular hilltop propane fire pit viewpoint
• Drive to Kelowna, BC
• Check in accomodation (not included in price)
• Formal winery dinner

Saturday May 16th:

• Group breakfast at a local restaurant
• Group hike
• Group beach picnic lunch
• Group wine tasting (self-directed)
• Check-in @ McCulloch Lake at the Cabins
• Large group potluck BBQ dinner

Sunday May 17th:

• Group potluck breakfast
• Free time/hiking/KVR Trestles & beyond... (group decision)
• Large communal potluck dinner @ Resort

Monday May 18th:

• Cleanup and checkout prior to 11 am.
• Drive back to Calgary

No other activities/supplies are included in your ticket price — only the bed reservation. Gas, food, accomodation for Friday May 15th (if you go early), supplies, and all other incidentals are the responsibility of each attendee. Listed activities may be added/removed at the organizer's discretion without compensation to attendees
